„Oh, I am so jealous!“ … that was the feedback we received from a lot of people when they asked what we are going to do in the next 3 to 4 months. Not sure if that also counted for the fact of moving a house into boxes and leaving this place that we called home within a weeks‘ time …
… and leaving is not so easy if a flat battery and some more hurdles get in your way. In addition, a bad weather forecast was hunting us as well. Flooding right at the beginning of our trip will not be the best start, but we are sure that the Cruiser will get us through.
Up north … or should we start way east? The Kruger was calling, but Botswana seems tempting as well. Where will we end up? The decision will be taken spontaneously on the intersection of the N4 and N1 highways in Pretoria. Stay tuned for an update!

Wenn wir erzählt haben, was unsere Pläne für die nächsten 3-4 Monate sind, bekamen wir immer die gleiche Antwort: „Oh, wie toll, da bin ich aber neidisch!“. Um bis hier her zu kommen, war es allerdings ein langer und doch auch anstrengender Weg und wir sind froh, nun endlich loszulegen…
… aber eine kaputte Batterie und noch mehr Packen kamen uns anfangs dazwischen. Das Wetter und vor allem die Vorhersage sind auch nicht vielversprechend. Sollten wir gleich am Anfang unserer Reise mit Starkregen und Überflutungen konfrontiert werden? Ist nicht die beste Voraussetzung, aber mit dem Cruiser wird das schon.
Nach Norden … oder geht es doch nach Osten? Der Krüger Nationalpark stand eigentlich auf unserer Liste, liegt aber nicht wirklich auf dem Weg. Botswana klingt auch sehr gut – wohin wird es also gehen? Vielleicht treffen wir die Entscheidung spontan am Autobahnkreuz der N4 und N1 in Pretoria. Wir halten Euch auf dem Laufenden!
